As part of its New Horizons project, Pilot Company is establishing a new travel center in Palmdale, CA and remodeling eight stores on cyber monday travel deals

NEWLY REMODELED

The celebrations extended from California to Missouri in September and will continue in October with special bargains and check presentations at three stores that newly remodeled on Pilot travel center.

New kitchen to make fresh food and grab-and-go cold items, refurbished Wendy’s, and four self-checkouts.

GORDONSVILLE, TN:

New bathrooms, showers, Dunkin’ Donuts Hull, AL: Pilot Flying J adds a deli, enhanced beverage choices, and Southern Tire Mart.

JOPLIN, MO:

Remodeled Wendy’s and four self-checkouts

PALMDALE, CA:

New deli offers fresh pizza, home-style meals, and grab-and-go alternatives. Subway, Cinnabon, four self-checkouts, five bathroom rooms, 55 truck parking places, 142 gasoline and 7 diesel lanes with biofuel, DEF, and high-speed pumps on Pilot travel center.

PONTOON BEACH, IL:

Remodeled facilities, showers, kitchen, and Cinnabon kiosk

SULLIVAN, MO:

New grab-and-go goods, improved beverage choices, and four self-checkouts on Pilot travel center.

ROBOTICS PROGRAMS

As part of the New Horizons initiative and in recognition of its long tradition of giving back, Pilot Company is providing $110,000 on Pilot travel center to ten local school districts to assist their robotics programs, acquire essential equipment, and expand their creative laboratories.
The $1 billion New Horizons initiative is the company’s largest store remodeling expenditure to date.

NEW PROJECTS

Horizons will finish its project in stages as it redesigns stores and introduces new technologies.
New Horizons upgrades include:

RETAIL EXTERIORS AND INTERIORS:

From the curb to the counter, overhauls include energy-efficient lighting for well-lit parking lots, enhanced fueling, updated branding, refaced walls, and store elements with industrial design accents to create a welcome atmosphere that creates a lasting impression.

TOILETS, SHOWERS, LAUNDRY:

Adding extra and updating existing restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms with contemporary, energy-efficient fixtures (including touchless where feasible), new tiling, fresh paint, and brighter lighting.

SEATING, LOUNGES:

Comfortable seating and dining areas expand guest relaxation areas.

FOOD, RETAIL:

Redesigned store layouts will boost variety and provide more of Pilot’s hallmark fresh deli goods to additional locations, all in an easy-to-shop ambiance.

INNOVATION:

State-of-the-art retail and fueling technologies, including self-checkouts, to boost efficiency and customize passenger experience.

TEAM MEMBERS:

Upgraded, reconfigured, and expanded breakrooms and workspaces, including new culinary equipment and back-office systems, to let team members concentrate on service.

FUTURE INNOVATIONS:

Equipping shops with fueling options, including EV charging stations, and implementing a plan to assist low-emission and zero-emission cars.

PILOT TRAVEL CENTER HOURLY WORKERS GET $2.916 MILLION

There was a settlement reached in the sum of $2,916,000.00 between Pilot Corporation and Pilot Travel Centers, LLC and Nichols Kester, PLLP, Shavitz Law Group, P.A., and the Law Office of Keith M. Stern, P.A. on behalf of hourly employees of Pilot Travel Centers. The settlement compensates 3,939 employees who worked as cashiers, team leaders, and shift leaders at various sites around the nation for extra hours for which they were not compensated.
Michele Fisher and Kayla Kienzle of Nichols Kaster, PLLP, Gregg Shavitz and Michael Palitz of Shavitz Law Group, P.A., and Keith Stern of Law Office of Keith M. Stern, P.A. are the plaintiffs’ legal representation.

CONSUMERS

Pilot rethought its travel centers after hearing from thousands of consumers who wanted additional dining choices, cleaner, more spacious toilets, and quicker service.
Over 2,000 truck stations operated by over 220 different firms are represented by the National Association of Truck Stop Operators.

PILOT UPDATES TRAVEL CENTERS

Pilot celebrated and gave gifts to mark improvements. Six additional travel centers have completed Pilot Company’s New Horizons shop remodels. This vintage travel center has a new Tex-Mex deli concept named Burrito Junction and an updated façade and interior with refurbished toilets.
The new deli concept is available 24/7 and serves breakfast burritos, burritos, tacos, bowls, and quesadillas that can be customized with house-made guacamole, queso, salsa, and a variety of toppings.
